GENERAL OBJECTIVE

To increase the percentage of Fully Immunized Children (FIC) coverage from 77% in 2021 to 95% in Barangay Lanzones by the end of 2024

To decrease the number of missed children under 2 years old from 16 to 0.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE 1

Our Proposed Solution

The general public has a high level of acceptance of immunization as a public health intervention and a practical medical procedure. In the first year of a child's life, immunization only necessitates parental intervention around six (6) times and it is typically accepted by families and communities. Making accessible immunization sessions is only half the battle; clients must actually use the services. People will use immunization services at least once, according to research from numerous nations, if they are aware of the services that are provided and where and when they may be obtained. If they are treated appropriately, know when to come back, and are certain they will get the immunizations they came for, they are more likely to return.

Creating a master list of under Two (2) year old residents who have completed Six (6) months of residence in the community will help to identify the target population who have been vaccinated with primary series and those who are unvaccinated termed as “missed children” – these initiatives will ease immunization tracking. Furthermore, the group aims to conduct a focus group discussion to break down the roadblocks that prevent the constituents from obtaining the minimal required dose to be considered as a “fully immunized child.”

Sustainability

Carefully outlined strategies and plans on a comprehensive context of basic immunization in Barangay Lanzones will promote immunization program sustainability, wherein the new-improved tracking scheme will better understand the schedule of vaccinations and  compliance of follow-up shots; along with the vaccinations, recipients have an easy access to them.

Sustainability and expanding the gains of sought services through immunization campaigns, health education, and monitoring of health service providers will improve and invest on the level understanding of community residents on the relevance of primary series vaccination. Moreover, data quality check (DQC) and program implementation review (PIR) are one way to gauge the desired outcome of the immunization coverage rate set by the Department of Health (DOH).
